Newsweek 'Best Country' Off-Planet Award 2010

At one time I believed that the behavior of the mainstream media represented simply a cowardly going with the flow, passively supporting ever-increasing U.S. immigration-driven overpopulation and its destruction of the environment, and all manner of economic and social dysfunctions. However, over time it became evident that the news and commentary media are the primary cheerleaders supporting the main cause of these unfolding disasters. Why? Probably because the media are located perfectly at the nexus between, on one side, the big corporate cheap-labor/growth-at-any-cost forces (most media companies are mom-and-pop not) and, on the other, liberal/neocon political correctness that still sees any criticism of immigration, legal or not, as redneck, Know Nothing, KKK, or you fill in the name-calling, no matter how overpopulated or environmentally degraded America becomes. Today all of this is almost irrevocably welded into place because at the core of PC is racial PC, and most people who are politically correct would rather walk across their grandma’s back with cleats than do anything that could even hint at “racism,” and, of course, most immigration, especially illegal immigration, flows from the Third World.

At least one of the more amusing byproducts of all this is that the media will often tie itself into illogical pretzels trying to come to corporate/PC conclusions that are contrary to the facts that they themselves have just presented. It is all the more delicious when it is exemplified in a major news magazine’s cover story.  In this case it is Newsweek’s, August, 2010, “The Best Country in the World is …” Throughout the piece Newsweek admits the obvious, that in general “smaller is better.” For one thing, you simply have more abundant natural resources per capita. But, wait, that will never do! We especially need to deal with those exciting populous nations that are newly “emerging”--and don’t you want to move there already?--and we find, you guessed it, Hooray Mexico! And what is one of the most wonderful features of that future garden spot? Well, it is one of the blessed nations that possess  “a healthy birth rate.” What luck! No, I’m not making this up. Of course a cynic might say, “Yes, so healthy Mexico has to continually illegally export a Mississippi River of excess population into its northern neighbor.” Another spoil sport might add, “Yes, so healthy the southern region of the United States is being overwhelmed and swallowed up whole by it.”

But the most appropriate response might be just a calm shaking of the head in amused and fatalistic wonderment, watching the human comedy continue to unfold and replay itself again in the collapse of yet another advanced but self-deluded civilization … going, going … along with its innocent leafy environmental foundation that once made it all possible.

Obama Cisco Kid Defense & Judge Susan Bolton

The Obama administration's 37th argument before Federal District Court Judge Susan Bolton:  "The new Arizona immigration enforcement law dishonors the memory of the Cisco Kid."

Improbably, I twice crossed path with the actor who played the Cisco Kid. First time at gas station in Santa Barbara, CA. Amazing that I would have recognized him so many years after watching him as a kid on our old Philco TV. One clue, however, was the licence plate on the back of his big bad car reading: "Cisco Kid."

In any case, the absurd Justice Department arguments put forth in Federal District Court before Judge Susan Bolton, for example, that Arizona might actually be successful and catch too many illegals, thus inundating the federal system, or, my personal favorite, Mexico might get mad at us, serve a wonderfully important purpose: demonstrating that the Obama administration, and many others in the federal government, enthusiastically support the foreign invasion of the United States. And, by the way, if the federal government is so lawyers-at-the-ready concerned about various states impinging upon federal powers, why aren't the mayors of "sanctuary cities" in federal prison right now, where they belong?

Defense of Baseball Caps and Mustaches

Most of today's fashion pointers seem reasonable, but sometimes it is forgotten that function can be at least as important as fashion. This is true with baseball caps. If you reside and are often outside in a place that can have blasting summers and stormy winters, you need a hat, and one with a brim. That limits you. Do you pretend to be a cowboy? Or how about a fedora? Besides, a hat with a brim all the way around can be a real hassle if it is windy, unless you use a chinstrap. No thanks. A lot of these style do’s and don’t’s are common sense, but some are the result of urban young people with too much time on their hands, who think that everything is about style. It reminds one of the fact that mustaches have been declared horribly out of style for years. Yet when walking down the street in many towns you see that about every third guy is wearing one. But they are all embarrassingly out of style? Okaaay. But here's the kicker. If you have a mustache with a little triangle of hair under your lower lip (plead guilty), it is just fine--because then what you have above your upper lip is apparently no longer a mustache! Oh brother ...

President Brackish Oilbama

How did a so very intelligent, upstanding, transparent, activist and green, green, green administration not notice such a "cozy" and deadly relationship between offshore oil drillers and federal regulators--until now? Obviously this has been going on for many years and must have been widely known by anyone paying any attention at all to offshore oil regulation. It is as if the captain of the Titanic were standing righteously on his sinking ship and indignantly claiming that he had only just discovered that the North Sea is infested with icebergs--and he is not going to tolerate it one bit! Shocking, shocking, I tell you!

BP's new corporate motto? "Spill Baby Spill!"

After Santa Barbara and then Alaska, we have been endlessly told: (1) Drilling techniques have been becoming ever more awesomely safe and sophisticated; (2) Oil companies, like BP, have been becoming ever more awesomely environmentally sensitive, hence ads showing happy butterflies sunning themselves on oil rigs, or the like; (3) Those who still have concerns for offshore drilling are pretty much dewy-eyed extreme environmentalists, as opposed to real Americans who chant "Drill baby drill!"

Jan Brewer Patriotic Speed Bump to White Cleansing

One of the important benefits of this new immigration-enforcement measure signed by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is that it, at long last, has been smoking out our Utopian/cynical political, media, entertainment, corporate and academic elites, who obviously want American citizens to be defenseless against Third World invasions. Their reaction to this quite sensible law has included almost everything just short of head spinning and projectile vomiting. Amazingly, politicians like Obama, and Bush before him, Pelosi, McCain and so many others, have been holding us hostage for decades, by saying that American borders will not be "tightened" until yet another amnesty has been approved. Just think about that. Obama and the others are saying that they will let murderers, rapists and drug runners in amongst us, unless we agree to legalize the criminals already here. (If there aren't such people among illegals, then illegals must be only population on earth that does not include them.) In other words, our political rulers are willing to see your son, daughter, husband or wife, or whomever you care about, die, unless another amnesty is passed. What else can this be called but evil?

Ethnic Cleansing Stefan Theil & Newsweek Drumbeat

Google Images

Besides the devastating impact of never-ending throngs of legal and illegal immigrants on the environment, on already unemployed citizens, on social services, crime rates, and all the rest, it is revealing that the only time that demographic ethnic cleansing is considered not a terrible thing, but instead the required enlightened view, is when it is white people whose  percentage of their nation's populations will be continually diminished. In fact, we are always told to 'Celebrate Diversity!'

So put on your party hats everyone and merrily shout after me: "My people are on their way out!"
