James Brousse plans to spend a good chunk of the next few weeks “protecting” New Orleans’s Confederate monuments from impending demolition, and the 81-year-old has a message for police who will try to keep the peace: You can leave the snipers at home.
Brousse, the commander of the local chapter of Sons of Confederate Veterans, is part of a group of about a dozen people who have stood vigil for the past week at three monuments honoring the Confederacy — landmarks that city leaders say are mostly out of touch with how most residents see their city. ...

Judicial Watch: Trump Ends Obama’s Ebola Afro Amnesty - This one more absurd than most, all these deranged amnesties are about as 'short-term' as the Earth's mantle --tma

In a refreshing move, the Trump administration is eliminating one of Barack Obama’s many outrageous amnesty initiatives, this one involving illegal immigrants from African countries affected by the Ebola virus a few years ago. The Ebola amnesty scandal got buried in the hoopla of the administration’s broad executive order protecting millions of illegal alien Mexicans and Central Americans, but it was just as alarming. Launched in 2014, the Ebola reprieve was issued separately—and quietly—via a Temporary Protected Status (TPS), a humanitarian program that’s supposed to be short-term. ...

RRW: Trump admits 1,300+ Somali 'refugees' since inauguration - Illegal, criminal Somalis deported? Teensy trickle

(Only) 237 Somalis have been removed from US since last October; not thousands!

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 30, 2017
I was pretty excited to report here that we were stepping up deportations of illegal alien/criminal Somalis, that thousands would be removed. But, now I see that even that administration effort is really not much to write home about!
The news here, if it is accurate, is that ICE won’t arrest illegal Somalis (who are not in detention) at their homes or work places.  Already, “sensitive places” such as schools, places of worship and hospitals are off limits.
Trump’s ambassador to Somalia (Stephen Schwartz) gives Somalia’s new Prez a special gift. A better gift might be to give Somalia back its people instead of hauling them by the thousands to the US! We will see how many of their illegal aliens they will repatriate as well! Photo: http://tribunist.com/news/american-ambassador-gives-make-somalia-great-again-hat-to-somalian-president/
So are we expected to believe that federal agents are going to wait on the streets to nab them coming and going from home to mosque? Only, if we hire a lot more agents!
Over the many years I’ve written RRW there would be flurries of pronouncements that Somalis in the country illegally would be sent back to Somalia and each time there would follow squishy, mealy-mouthed discussions about how can we do such a thing (send people back) because Somalia is still a hellhole!
Is Somalia ever NOT going to be a hellhole? Is this administration headed that way (to weakness and squishy talk) again?
In case you missed it, Trump has admitted 1,359 supposedly persecuted (by whom?) Somalis since inauguration day.

AmRen - Santoro: White Environmentalism / Conservation / Ecology - Yes, today many scenic 'river walks' lined with small businesses. Before 70's enviro laws: running toxic sludge. --tma

Rolling Green Hills
Mint/ZUMA

It’s clear that the environmentalism and loving “the great outdoors” are Stuff White People Like. Every year there are articles complaining how few “people of color” went to America’s national parks, and a Green party is represented in most European parliaments. Something appeals to our people about protecting the natural world and keeping it healthy for generations to come.
There’s a catch: The Left has been allowed nearly to monopolize this issue. Except for the occasional conservative who cites Theodore Roosevelt, the Right makes little effort to join forces with environmentalism. This is an unfortunate legacy of how conservatism fought the Cold War. As a “big tent” coalition against communism or anything that smelled of it, the Right stood against the hippies and their Marxist professors, their pacifism, and their flower power. It saw protesting over the environment as the work of left-wing rabble. But that doesn’t mean the issue is one of the Left. No one on the political spectrum can escape questions of energy and environment.
Conservatives oppose environmentalism because protective regulations cut profits and distort markets. They require a bigger, more intrusive government, which makes the capitalist wing of the anti-communist coalition scream. But so too does Trump’s pro-white populism, and without it there could not have been a Republican president.
Conservatism, as expressed through the Republican party, is overwhelmingly a white cause, and this is being recognized more broadly. President Trump won the election largely because he flipped Rust Belt states with above average white populations. Environmentalism should likewise be embraced as a conservative, nationalist, populist cause. ...

ModBee: Ann Coulter wowed GOP faithful in Modesto, CA

Ann Coulter speaks to a crowd at the Modesto Centre Plaze in Modesto, Calif., on Friday, April 28, 2017.

Conservative firebrand Ann Coulter’s Friday evening speech at Modesto Centre Plaza drew hundreds of GOP faithful as well as dozens of demonstrators who lined the sidewalk and lawn outside the downtown convention center to show their support and disgust for Coulter.
The demonstrators appeared evenly split into two camps. The protest — which appeared to reach about 100 people at its peak — also brought out the news media, with TV stations from Sacramento, San Francisco and Fox News sending crews.
There also were lots of Modesto officers in the crowd and nearby on horseback, motorcycles and bicycles. Police Chief Galen Carroll said his department expected a peaceful protest but were prepared for the worst. Expectations were met. ...

RRW - Corcoran - Reader comment: Ann, your [Trump refugee] comments are “classless and offensive” - Ann's response

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 29, 2017
This (below) is a comment (in response to Thursday’s post) that I received from a diehard Trump supporter, not the first to send a comment like this.
So let me be clear.  I have been writing about the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program for ten years come this July. I was also a Trump supporter from day one.  I even had an opportunity to tell him briefly what was wrong with the US Refugee Program in May of 2015.

Nancy took offense at my mention of Ivanka’s position on Syrian refugees. See what Ivanka (the expert) said about refugees: http://www.ajc.com/news/national/ivanka-trump-reportedly-differs-with-president-trump-syrian-refugees/Egi1VwnovaeRvmjllhwncN/
But, someone has to be willing to NOT PULL PUNCHES and tell the public where he is going wrong on this subject which I happen to know a lot about. (Just a tad more than Ivanka knows!)
For the umpteenth time, Trump did not have to include the US RAP in an Executive Order that was stopped by the judges. It is a separate issue from the ‘travel ban.’
The Trump team has the legal power to stop the flow of refugees altogether IF THEY WANTED TO!  (Now they have this handy excuse which Nancy has bought, hook, line and sinker—it is all about the judges!)
Using the liberal judges as as excuse, the Trump Administration is admitting an average number of refugees to the US at great expense to taxpayers and risking our security by including large numbers of unscreened Syrians, Iraqis, Afghans, Rohingya and Somalis. Nevermind that he said many times while campaigning for office that he wouldn’t do that!
I don’t want to hear anything about all the bigger issues Trump is dealing with!

There is nothing bigger than changing the demographic, cultural and religious makeup of America.  That is irreversible.

We can fix Obamacare and our tax system AFTER immigration is controlled!
The most benign explanation for what, at the moment, appears to be a flip-flop by the Trump team is that they haven’t hired anyone tough enough to rein-in the bureaucrats at the Department of State (which doesn’t look good for Trump, the great manager, either!).
That is not to say, they won’t get their act together eventually, but right now someone has to tell them they are screwing up!
Although I am not in her class, at least Ann Coulter is willing to tell Trump he is screwing up on immigration, in her case the wall with her new daily report on how many miles of the wall are being built each day—so far zero!
(See my report in the right hand sidebar of how many refugees Trump is admitting.)
Here is what Nancy and others (some more diplomatically) are telling me:

Shut up Ann, our man Trump can do no wrong!

Hi Ann,
While I enjoy your site, I do take exception to the Trump refugees article you posted. I think the same article should have been directed to the Ninth Circuit court, not Trump. It would appear to me that he has been trying …. and trying … to prevent this only to be thwarted again and again by a court that get’s literally 80% of it’s judgments overturned. Dare I say I’d get fired if only 20% of my work was accurate.
Also – the dig to Ivanka wasn’t fair either. Stop with the daddy comments – it’s classless and offensive. It should be beneath you to make such asinine comments. What she SAID was that it should be part of the discussion, not part of the solution. To me, a very diplomatic statement and perhaps way of getting a long-stalemated conversation going for real resolution. Perhaps you’re the dumb-dumb here.
My guidance is to stick to the issues and not the nonsense if you truly want resolution on this paramount matter. Thank you for listening
Regards Nancy
Thanks for listening Nancy!
One more thing, it is a wonderful thing to write a blog with no boss and for no financial gain to myself, because it doesn’t matter one bit to me whether I lose readers who don’t like what I say! ...

"I don’t want to hear anything about all the bigger issues Trump is dealing with! There is nothing bigger than changing the demographic, cultural and religious makeup of America.  That is irreversible."

I am a die-hard Trump supporter and completely agree with Ann Corcoran. If we fail to hold Trump's feet to the fire, all pressure on him will come from the other side. We are still very lucky Trump won. Trying to persuade a President Hillary to stop the migration tsunami would have been completely futile. Our opposition to her would have been proof, in her demented and corrupt mind, that she was doing exactly the right thing by gleefully dissolving the Historic American Nation.

I very much support Trump on things like bringing jobs back to America and bringing fairness back to bilateral trade. However Ann is 100 percent correct. At least when the Soviet Union imploded the Russian people were able to come back in and pick up the pieces, whereas the Globalists of the West are making sure that, through open-borders and high birthrates, their ever escalating demographic changes will become irreversible--because there will be so few of us, in percentage terms, left standing to continue this fight.

Daily Caller: Documents Tie Berkeley Riot Organizers To Pro-Pedophilia Group, NAMBLA

The left-wing activists behind the anti-conservative riots at Berkeley have ties to one of the nation’s most prominent pro-pedophilia organizations.
The Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration & Immigrant Rights, and Fight for Equality By Any Means Necessary — more commonly referred to as By Any Means Necessary or BAMN — is one of the militant leftist groups waging a campaign against conservatives and Trump supporters in Berkeley. The group’s planned aggressive demonstrations against conservative commentator Ann Coulter and the students coming to hear her talk led to the cancellation of Coulter’s speech this week due to safety concerns. ...

Breitbart - Mexican Foreign Sec Videgaray Warns USA Do Not Build Border Walls - "hostile" for US to stop Mexican invasion - What good are drones if we can't zap an invading govt? --tma

The Mexican foreign secretary called the plan to build walls along the border a “hostile” and “deeply unfriendly” act, and an “aggravating action”. He warned that Mexico intends to conduct a fierce legal battle to stop any border walls that violate the rights of Mexicans.

Mexico Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray said building any walls when there are already 600 kilometers of barriers is not only a hostile and deeply unfriendly act, but one that “also is not going to fulfill the objectives that it raises, is not only an aggravating action, but it seems to be frankly a bad idea.”

The foreign secretary said Mexico is planning a legal fight, and it has no intention to pay for any border walls or to cooperate with the U.S. in any way on the development of border walls. ...

Trump has admitted 12,218 refugees since Inauguration Day: 1,472 Syrians, 1,359 Somalis

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 27, 2017
Since we are coming up on 100 days I was anxious to see how Trump was doing with his campaign promise to (at least) put a moratorium on the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days to review how refugees are vetted and look to assure “extreme vetting” was put in place.
My guess about the flip-flop: His friends in the hotel and food production industries told him they needed this steady supply of low wage refugee laborers whose wages you supplement with welfare payments. Great business model!
Ho hum! Isn’t happening! And, I don’t want to hear of one defender who says he was stymied by judges. He never had to place a refugee slowdown in an Executive Order!  The Refugee Act of 1980 gives the President enormous powers.
Here (below) is a screenshot map of where the 12,218 were placed since Inauguration Day up until this morning’s data at Wrapsnet.
This puts the number for the fiscal year, as of today, at 42,235.
Trump also said he was capping the number for the year at 50,000, but at the present rate of admission, he will surpass 60,000 (an average number since 9/11).
Top resettlement countries included:
Burma (1,497) 401 of these are Rohingya Muslims who, like Syrians, cannot be vetted.
DR Congo (1,866) We are well on our way to reach 50,000 we promised the UN we would scatter across America.
Iraq (1,503) Over 122,000 have been admitted since 2009.
Somalia (1,359) We have admitted well over 100,000 over past 20 years, will it ever end?
Syria (1,472) Remember Trump said he would stop them completely, even said he would send some back, ha! ha!
How many Trump refugees did you get?

Alaska got 23 while the diversity-lovers in Hawaii got a big fat zero (again!). LOL! Of course, DC got none. And, for new readers wondering about Wyoming, it is the only state in the nation to have never joined the program.

Biggest tests for Trump come in September.
If he throws billions of taxpayer dollars to the refugee industry in the 2018 budget and doesn’t drastically cut refugee admissions for the upcoming year, then we will know for sure that the United Nations/US Refugee Admissions Program will never be reformed.
Endnote:  I was just reminded of the story from yesterday about Ivanka Trump’s views on Syrians, here.  Sure hope Daddy isn’t listening to Ivanka (again!).

Ann Coulter: Trump is commander in chief! He said he'd build a wall. If he can't do that, Trump is finished, the Republican Party is finished, and the country is finished.

Image result for trump border wall

Fake News' question of the week: Will Trump risk a government shutdown over the wall?

The media flip back and forth on who's to blame for a government shutdown depending on which branch is controlled by Republicans. But the "shutdown" hypothetical in this case is a trick question.

A failure to build the wall IS a government shutdown.

Of course it would be unfortunate if schoolchildren couldn't visit national parks and welfare checks didn't get mailed on time. But arranging White House tours isn't the primary function of the government.

The government's No. 1 job is to protect the nation.

This has always been true, but it's especially important at this moment in history, when we have drugs, gang members, diseases and terrorists pouring across our border. The failure of the government to close our border is the definition of a government shutdown.  ...

For 10 years, the 82nd Avenue of Roses Business Association has kicked off the city of Portland’s annual Rose Festival with a family-friendly parade meant to attract crowds to its diverse neighborhood.

The Week - Linker - Global elites headed for a fall and don't know it - No mention of Trump bringing jobs back, ending invasion, but some good points. Rigged system: elites bask in luxury as commoners languish. --tma

The global elite think they're sitting pretty. How wrong they are.

Democrats keep telling themselves that Hillary Clinton "really" won the 2016 election (or would have, had it not been for interference by Vladimir Putin and James Comey). Republicans keep patting themselves on the back about how much power they now wield at all levels of government. And centrists throughout the West are breathing a sigh of relief about Emmanuel Macron's likely victory over the National Front's Marine Le Pen in the second round of the French presidential election on May 7.

You can almost hear the sentiments echoing down the corridors of (political and economic) power on both sides of the Atlantic: "There's nothing to worry about. Everything's fine.

And this is how things appear at this historical moment: The world is run by an international elite that lives in a rarified world of seemingly boundless power and luxury. Though the members of this elite consider their own power and luxury to be completely legitimate, it is not. It is the product of a system that's rigged to benefit them while everybody else languishes in declining small cities and provincial towns, eking out a dreary existence, toiling away their lives in menial service-sector jobs or scraping by on disability checks while seeking out a modicum of fleeting joy in the dumbstruck haze of a painkiller high. ...

"So I shall not cede a centimetre of space, not a second's respite, not an ounce of energy," to Le Pen, Macron insisted.
