In Tuesday's State of the Union address, President Obama is expected to discuss the plight of American workers. At the same time, he is pushing Republicans to pass an immigration plan making the problem worse by increasing the flow of immigrant workers to compete against unemployed Americansand those struggling to get by in low-wage jobs. Yet, alarmingly, the move is regarded as a part of Obama's agenda that has a chance of becoming law.

The University will allocate $300,000 for renovations to the Trotter Multicultural Center, according to the University’s Black Student Union representatives and University spokesman Rick Fitzgerald.

A racially charged shooting incident in North Carolina with eerie parallels to the Trayvon Martin drama has ended in the same way – with a jury refusing to hand state authorities the politically pressured charges they sought against the shooter.

In a decision angering the NAACP and other civil-rights activists clamoring for “justice,” a Charlotte grand jury has declined to indict Charlotte Police Officer Randall Kerrick for voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of a 24-year-old black man who refused to obey orders to stop after police responded to a robbery call.

Jurors thought the evidence presented against the white officer did not support the manslaughter charge. As WND first reported in October, evidence showed authorities overcharged the shooter, who claimed self defense. Kerrick faced a prison sentence of up to 11 years.

Still, state authorities plan to resubmit the charge to a new panel of grand jurors scheduled to meet on Monday. The NAACP plans to protest outside the Charlotte courthouse during their deliberations. . . .

     It seems particularly sad and revealing that all of these civil rights/anti-white organizations can't even seem to manage to find cases where whites are attacking blacks, but rather are forced to turn to cases in which blacks are clearly the attackers, and then try to re-landscape the evidence, making it look as if proper procedures were not followed, while adding political pressures, threats to the peace, as well as relying on the news media's anti-white bias.

Seeger died on Monday at the age of 94, leaving behind classics like "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" and "If I Had a Hammer," laying out his vision of what the United States can and should be.

Dubbed "America's tuning fork" by poet Carl Sandburg, the bald and bearded banjo-playing tenor brought a feast of material to US musical culture.

He adapted a Negro spiritual for the civil rights anthem "We Shall Overcome" and a passage from the book of Ecclesiastes for the Byrds hit "Turn! Turn! Turn!"

Briefly a communist and a life-long activist for social and environmental issues, he was indicted for contempt of Congress in 1957 while playing, recording and listening to songs by those at the bottom of the ladder.

86 the O-1 or Fight! I used to think Justin Bieber's increasingly erratic behavior was some sort of Miley Cyrus-type publicity stunt to re-tool his image as he gets older and soon won't be able to rely on pre-adolescent girls to buy all his junk when he finally is able to grow facial hair.

But his antics are going well beyond shoving paparazzi and now include possible felonies. His latest charges include driving drunkand resisting arrest.

TMZ, a paparazzi outfit, reports him admitting to cops during the arrest that he was under influence of prescription drugs, for which he doesn’t have a prescription. This is important becausecombining alcohol and drugs amplifies alcohol’s effects on one’s nervous system and further impairs the ability to drive safely.

At this point you may be asking, "So what? Is VDARE.com jumping on the celebrity-obsessed Main Stream Media’s bandwagon?"

Well, this is where things get interesting. Bieber is a Canuck here on an O-1 visa. And U.S. law has provisions to tell the likes of The Bieb to "take off you hoser!" all the way back to the Great White North from whence he came.

But as we all know, the follow-through on this simple duty of the U.S. government to protect its citizens from problematic foreigners is practically non-existent, especially after Obama's extra-constitutional refusal to enforce immigration law. . . .
