PLEASANT HILLS, Pa. - A customer said a Party City employee refused to fill her balloon order after finding out it was for a police officer’s memorial ceremony.
Karly Lane told Channel 11 she went to Party City on Saturday to buy a dozen blue and black balloons for her friend, Duquesne officer Robert GoGo Jr., who died in an off-duty motorcycle accident almost a month ago.
Lane told the clerk that the balloons were for a memorial ceremony in GoGo’s honor. The clerk allegedly told Lane she refused to support a police officer and had someone else wait on her.
"How can you not support a police officer? It doesn't matter. They don't know my brother. They don't know what kind of man he was. They don't know what he did in his job. It just hurts," GoGo’s sister Jennifer Martino. ...
