DC Hate Crime victim still struggling with injuries a year after near fatal mob attack
This report is from a New Zealand media outlet. We should not have to keep going to foreign media outlets to learn about crimes in the USA. This is exactly the type of crime that the US media desperately doesn't want to have to report. This only received local coverage, and most media outlets completely censored the race of the perpetrators. If the races had been reversed, this would have been a major media event.
Thomas Maslin survived an extreme head wound during a hate crime assault in Washington DC one year ago. Maslin was viciously attacked at random by three black males one year ago. Among other things, his skull was literally caved in with a metal baseball bat. The attackers left him for dead. Pedestrians found him unconscious and called the police. He underwent a serious of four emergency surgeries to save his life.
The perpetrators are believed to have attacked several other white victims the same night. They were arrested and charged with other attacks, but not the attack on Maslin. DC police recovered Maslin’s stolen cell phone, but waited one month before they bothered to turn it on and see who it belonged too.
The media called it a “robbery.” There is no question that the sole motivation for the attack was to commit massive injury for the fun of it. The perps may have even believed Maslin was dead when they left. Maslin had already given them his cell phone and wallet and then tried to run away. The “robbery” was long over when they beat Maslin to the ground and caved in his skull with a metal baseball bat.
Three weeks after Maslin was nearly killed, another white victim was attacked by a different group of black males in the same neighborhood! The story is almost identical. A white male victim cooperated with two black male attackers. He gave them his cell phone. Then after robbing him, they beat him into a coma! . . .
