Now two high-profile Conservatism Inc. hit pieces kvetch about Milo Yiannopoulos and Allum Bokhari’s assertion that Alt Righters are actually quite intelligent. - Matthew Continetti [Email him] the editor of the neoconservative Washington Free Beacon and son-in-law of Bill Kristol, has an answer to Yiannopoulos’s claim that “There are many things that separate the Alternative Right from old-school racist skinheads (to whom they are often idiotically compared), but one thing stands out above all else: intelligence.”

- Cathy Young [Email her] in spite of her WASPy name a Russian Jewish immigrant who has in the usual mysterious as an authority on what Americans must consider “conservative,” takes issue with Yiannopoulos’s description that Alt Righters are “dangerously bright” by using scare quotes when referring to Alt Right “intellectuals” . While Young does not use the word “skinhead” in the piece, she (or her editors at the Federalist) put an image of a menacing-looking European nationalist with a shaved head atop her column. ...
