'Je Suis Charlie': George Clooney, Jared Leto pay tribute to Paris victims at Golden Globes
The shootings at the offices of French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris last weekwere on the minds of many at the Golden Globe Awards Sunday in Los Angeles.
George Clooney and Helen Mirren were among those to arrive on the red carpet wearing pins bearing "Je Suis Charlie" — the message (French for "I am Charlie") that went viral around the world after the massacre in Paris.
Jared Leto paid tribute to the victims of the Jan. 7 attack before presenting the Golden Globe for best supporting actress in a movie.
“To our brothers, sisters, friends and families in France, our thoughts, our prayers, our hearts are with you tonight," Leto said. “On vous aime. Je suis Charlie.”
While accepting his lifetime achievement award, Clooney applauded Sunday's demonstrations in Paris and elsewhere. ...
