How does "I am Cait" compare to Corporal Klinger and Mrs. Doubtfire?

A tremendous amount of attention is being given to the new TV show "I am Cait" where Bruce Jenner dresses up as a lady and pretends to be a woman called Caitlin. I watched some of it, curious to see how his performance would stack up to some of the most famous tranvestites in TV history, namely MASH's Corporal Klinger and Robin Williams in the movie Mrs. Doubtfire.

I am very sad to say that Bruce Jenner's performance was very lacking. For one thing, even though he's dressing like a woman, he is still talking in the same deep man's voice! What kind of a portrayal of a woman is that? In Mrs. Doubtfire, Robin Williams took on a high pitched Irish lady's voice that was very comical. In MASH, Jamie Farr didn't change his voice, but in MASH, he was not pretending to be a woman (as Jennfer is), he was merely a man dressed as a woman. It could be considered comical to hear a deep man's voice coming out of a woman's mouth, but here it just sounds disturbing. I think if Jenner wants to improve his performance he should alter his voice, aiming for a higher pitch like Michael Jackson or at least Lindsey Graham. ...
