Invasion of Europe News….

This latest disease is not one that immediately comes to mind like TB and HIV/AIDS that we usually hear about.  BTW, American readers should know that even our “screened” refugees are permitted entry into the US with TB and HIV.

People are fleeing certain African and Middle Eastern countries in large numbers and many are headed to the countries of Europe. In fact, one report notes that about 5,000 people flee Eritrea each month, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the UN refugee agency.
One of the things that can come from refugees and asylum seekers are infectious diseases contracted in their home country.
Europe is currently reporting cases of cutaneous diphtheria in asylum seekers to several countries to include Denmark, Sweden and Germany. To date, nine cases have been reported by the three nations. ...

France, Britain present united front as anger soars over migrants

 Paris (AFP) - France and Britain vowed Sunday that a cross-Channel migrant crisis was their "top priority" in a united front that belied simmering anger over an issue which has become a political hot potato.
Heightened security has curbed the number of attempts by migrants in the port city of Calais trying to make it through an undersea tunnel to Britain, with only 400 bids Saturday night, a police source said, compared to 2,000 earlier in the week.
Around 3,000 people from Africa, the Middle East and Asia are camped in Calais hoping to smuggle themselves into Britain, and the costly crisis has strained ties across the Channel. ...

The British government must face facts. Whatever action it takes to counteract Islamic extremism in the UK is bound to (as the BBC puts it) "attract criticism from parts of the British Muslim community". So let's simply take that for granted.
In other words, the government will always be seen as 'alienating Muslims' or 'putting all Muslims in the same basket'. This will be the case whether or not what David Cameron does is forceful or pathetic. Any action whatsoever will produce criticism from Muslims - as well as from left-wing groups and individuals.

Despite all that, in the last few days David Cameron has said (yet again) that he hopes to encourage "Muslim reformists" and "moderates". The problem with that is these genuine reformists and moderates (the few that there are) are always violently criticised by a whole host of other Muslims. Basically, the genuine Muslim moderates are seen as Muslim Uncle Toms by the bogus moderates and by large sections of the Muslim community.
Nonetheless, Cameron has said he'll set up a "community engagement forum" which will be designed to provide a voice for Muslims fighting extremism within their own communities.
Cameron has previously talked about getting Muslim moderates to speak up. Back in 2007, for example, he said that the "hardline members" of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) were "crowding out more moderate voices". (The MCB is a sleek and sly Islamic advertising campaign aimed primarily at non-Muslims.)
And as recently as January 2015, Communities Secretary Eric Pickles wrote a letter to more than 1,000 imams and Muslim leaders asking them to publicly condemn the attacks on Charlie Hebdo and a kosher supermarket in France. Guess what - the MCB and nearly all other Islamic groups criticised the letter with the usual rhetoric about 'criminalising an entire community'.
This is the catch-22.
When forces outside of the Muslim community take action against Islamic extremism, Muslims resent that precisely because it's outsiders who are taking the action.
However, when Eric Pickles asked the Muslim community itself to tackle Islamic extremism, the reaction was just as negative. ...

 For new readers we have a very large archive of posts on how Wyoming Governor Matt Mead wants to open a refugee program in the only state in the nation with no formal resettlement program.  We wondered where the state’s Republican Senators are on the issue of immigration and we get a hint for one of them in a lengthy Breitbart story (hat tip: Jim) entitled, ‘No Congressional GOP Leaders Will Support Reducing Immigration.’

Sen. Barrasso: “We need additional labor.” Does he mean additional cheap labor for the Chamber of Commerce and business pals?
Breitbart reporter, Julia Hahn, who has been doing a lot of great work on legal immigration issues, including refugee resettlement, tells us this about Wyoming Senator John Barrasso:
In the Senate, for instance, while Senate Republican leaders gently and quietly opposed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 80%’s (R-FL) unpopular immigration bill once it was assured of Senate passage, they grounded their statements of opposition in vague criticisms of border security. [They are such chickens, it makes me want to scream—ed] Public comments suggest they were supportive of Sen. Rubio’s effort to drastically expand the total level of immigration into the United States. The Schumer-Rubio plan would have handed out more than 30 million green cards to immigrants primarily from countries with little to no history of Western institutions, but Sen. John Barasso (R-WY) praised Rubio’s efforts to expand the labor supply in this way:
I’m [a] child of immigrants. That is the history of this country. Immigration is good and important for our country. Legal immigration needs to really be modernized. Marco Rubio is working on that… We need additional labor.
Barrasso’s state of Wyoming has a population of about half a million people. Ironically, if just 1 million of Rubio’s 30 million green card recipients had moved to Wyoming — instead of more likely destinations in eastern states such as Georgia and Virginia— Wyoming could suddenly, almost overnight, have the same politics as California.
Generations of rural traditions passed down from parents to children would be electorally crowded out by the new traditions of new arrivals. Barasso never explained why he thinks adding millions of laborers from mostly poor countries would improve schools, hospitals, or job markets in states like his own, or why it would be “important for our country” to resettle millions of immigrants with green cards from non-Western countries.

A gentle reminder why Rick Perry is totally unsuited to be the GOP nominee

Rick Perry was asked what he thought of Mitch McConnell and John Boehner's performance. At first, he criticized them:

Well, obviously, I think they’re doing a poor job of, uh, making Americans believe that they can actually make Congress work and work with the president. Now part of that is the president’s problem, and I think — one of the things I learned as governor is you’ve got to reach out across the party lines. I’d rather have half a loaf than no loaf, and right now we’re getting a lot of no loaf. Matter of fact, we’re not even getting a slice, at this particular point in time. So… a president that actually wants to work with Congress, and I think Congress has to cross that line too.

But then, he praised them:

I think they’re working towards a… [pause] getting some [pause]… getting some [pause]… um, financial things headed in the right direction. Making some, you know, reductions in spending. Getting these agencies, but the fact is that the American people don’t really see Washington, whether it’s Congress or whether it’s the president… [pause] addressing the solutions that are facing this country.

 The Congress is getting "financial things" in the "right direction"? Making "reductions in spending"? That's news to me, and to millions of Americans who follow the news every day.

Rick Perry fumbled the last time he ran for President on a softball question, when he couldn't even name the three federal departments he claimed he wanted to abolish. As you can see from the above, he's inarticulate, and we can't nominate another inarticulate nominee. That alone I think clearly disqualifies him.

But Rick Perry has just revealed a bigger problem. He's not merely inarticulate. He's also dangerously ignorant. ...

That is my guess!  How else would a then 16-year-old Mexican, who entered the country in 2013, be now “legal” in the US.  Only the Office of Refugee Resettlement knows for sure!

One of Obama’s new Americans, Jesus Yeizon Deniz Mendoza demanded money and when they said they had none, he shot the parents and wounded the daughter as she tried to run away.

The man accused of killing two Good Samaritans who tried to help him on a Montana roadside was encountered by immigration authorities earlier this year after a burglary arrest, but was unable to be deported because he had already gotten legal status, federal authorities said this week.
The horrific killing has drawn attention at a time when crimes committed by immigrants are a hot political topic, thanks in part to GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s claim that Mexican society sends bad elements to the U.S.
Jesus Yeizon Deniz Mendoza, an 18-year-old Mexican man, has been charged with the killing of Jason and Tana Shane, who saw him stopped on the side of the road Wednesday and tried to help him. When they showed up on the scene with their daughter, Mr. Deniz pointed a gun at them and demanded money, according to an FBI affidavit filed in the federal court case.

Mr. Deniz is Mexican, and the Obama administration deems him a legal permanent resident who entered the country legally on May 31, 2013 — though they didn’t say how he earned that status initially.
There is more including a discussion about deporting him when he finishes his sentence.  That is b.s. because he will likely get life in prison (does Montana have the death penalty?) and we will be paying probably millions for his legal proceedings and his incarceration for years to come.  A great benefit this young “dreamer” is to America!
I sure hope we learn more about this evil man’s “legal” status in America! ...

A Texas congressman has introduced legislation that would halt the resettlement of United Nations-certified refugees in the U.S. pending a full study on the program’s impact on the nation’s economy and national security.
Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas, introduced the Resettlement Accountability National Security Act, or HR 3314, which places an “immediate suspension on allowing immigrants into the United States under the refugee resettlement program, until the Government Accountability Office (GAO) completes a thorough examination of its costs on federal, state and local governments.”
According to U.S. government data, nearly 500,000 new immigrants have come to the U.S. under the resettlement program since President Obama took office – with the state of Texas and its taxpayers taking in more than any other state.
Since 2002, a total of 69,490 refugees from more than a dozen countries have been resettled in Texas. That does not include “secondary migration,” which involves refugees moving into Texas after first being resettled elsewhere.
Texas, California lead the way
The Lone Star State absorbed 7,214 refugees in fiscal 2014, followed by California with 6,108 and New York with 4,082. Michigan received 4,006 refugees and Florida 3,519 to round out the top five. Minnesota, when secondary migration is included, also makes the top five with more than 4,000 refugees arriving every year.
