  • New York City police arrested 223 people during second night of protests

  • Protesters flooded Foley Square in front of New York's City Hall by the thousand Thursday evening and protested into the early hours of Friday

  • Simultaneous demonstrations appeared elsewhere shut down the West Side Highway to Manhattan's west and the Brooklyn Bridge to the east

  • Demonstrators shut down the Brooklyn Bridge by 7pm

  • On Wednesday, it was announced that Officer Daniel Pantaleo who put Eric Garner in a chokehold would not be indicted

  • Mayor Bill de Blasio promised new training for the NYPD on Thursday
