Jeep Cherokee: Are you driving a racist motor vehicle?

When Cars Assume Ethnic Identities

Coming to a showroom near you for 2014: the first sport utility vehicle in its class equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It’s also the first to offer a parallel-parking feature. And, in 4-wheel-drive models, the rear axle disconnects automatically, for fuel efficiency.

Oh, yes: its name is the Jeep Cherokee.
Hold on — wasn’t that model name retired more than a decade ago? Wasn’t it replaced by the Jeep Liberty for 2002?
Yet now, in a time of heightened sensitivity over stereotypes, years after ethnic, racial and gender labeling has been largely erased from sports teams, products and services, Jeep is reviving an American Indian model name. Why? . . .

. . . Why, given these risks, return to a discontinued brand? “Coming up with new names is very expensive these days,” said Mr. Adamson, the brand consultant, explaining that trademark research, focus groups and legal due diligence can be costly. The growing quest for viable names — and the third-rail of stereotypical labeling — are possible explanations for the advent of such hard-to-spell monikers as the Volkswagen Tiguan, and the growing adoption of concocted names like Acura, Elantra, Infiniti and Lexus — as well as the proliferation of alphanumeric designations. . . .

I suppose this means that some defunct car company reviving itself by bringing out a new Pontiac Pimpmobile would be out of the question?
     Seriously, repeat after me:
Diversity is our strength! Diversity is our strength! Diversity ...

Buchanan: Hispanic influx from immigration bill could break US into ‘two countries’ (or worse)

Buchanan: Hispanic influx from immigration bill could break  US into 'two nations'

On Andrea Tantaros radio show last week, conservative columnist and author Pat Buchanan warned of an unintended consequence of the immigration reform bill, a bill which doesn’t place a high priority on assimilation.
According to Tantaros, her previous guest, former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey, said that the immigration legislation funnels money to so-called community organizing groups like La Raza with the idea of teaching immigrants “American history, the Constitution and civic participation.” That leaves open the possibility of activist groups teaching with a partisan slant — and impedes assimilation.
Buchanan, author of “Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?”explained that when different cultures are encouraged to assimilate, nations are susceptible to splitting apart, pointing to recent history as proof. ...

     (1) Many conservatives and neocons have been making the case for many years that we must recommit ourselves to assimilation in the future in order to remain one nation. However, at this point, even if our borders were slammed shut tomorrow, vastly differential white v. nonwhite birthrates will mean that if we recommit ourselves to assimilation, European Americans will simply be engulfed by and assimilated into teeming Third World peoples.

     (2) Sadly, the prediction of 'two countries' is also becoming optimistic, since blacks, Muslims and others will also want their own nations. Of course only for whites, who, like everyone else, merely prefer to have their own coherent culture and live within it, will this desire continue to be painted as hateful racist 'white supremacy.'

'Incompetent' and 'liar' among most frequent words to describe Obama (What, no 'open-borders berserker' or 'anti-Western wonder'?

'Incompetent' and 'liar' among most frequently used words to describe the president: Pew Research Center

By Jennifer Harper - The Washington Times

One gauge of a president’s favorability is the assorted descriptors the public volunteers to a pollster about the leader of the Free World. The Pew Research Center has tracked the assorted description of President Obama over the years, and has this to say:

“The survey finds that the one-word impressions people have of Obama have changed a great deal throughout his presidency. Terms like incompetent and liar now are among the most frequently used words to describe Obama. In April 2009, when his job approval was at 63%, these words were rare,” Pew says.

“Some positive descriptions - such as good and honest - continue to be used often to characterize impressions of Obama. And the word socialist is used about as often today as it was in Obama’s first year in office.”

You would think that a reporter going to the trouble of writing this article at least would have provided us with the top, say, five descriptors, in order, good or bad--or didn't Pew reveal this?

Sahronim Center: Israel Cruelly Tossing African Migrants into the Slammer?

Israeli: Detention center for Africans a 'prison'

JERUSALEM (AP) — Hundreds of African migrants are languishing in a desert detention center in southern Israel, where families may only meet once a week and where women and children sleep in a prison-like compound, according to lawmakers who caught a rare glimpse.
The visit to Sahronim center by a parliamentary delegation has allowed a look into the facility that plays a key role in Israel's attempt to stem the tide of thousands of African migrants who have crossed the long desert border with Egypt to the Jewish state in recent years.
"It's not a camp. It's a prison," said Michael Rozin, an opposition lawmaker with the dovish Meretz party. "You have guards. You are not free do what you want. These people are not criminals. Their crime is asking for a better life." . . .
Obviously, Israel should be able to have whatever type of nation and population it desires, but why is this not true for Western nations as well? Jewish communities within all Western nations for decades have worked tirelessly to have their host nations' borders thrown wide open in order to make these nations as 'multicultural' as possible, while in the Jewish homeland, Israel, the opposite rules have always applied.
The icing on the cake is the above appeal favoring the African migrants, saying, "Their crime is asking for a better life." Of course Western peoples have been propagandized for decades that an invasion cannot and must not be stopped if invaders are simply coming for a better life, which is probably the primary reason why invasions have taken place down through history anyway, but, once again, when Israel is the destination of this better life, such nutty utopian reasoning no longer applies.

Nabisco Introduces New Oreo Watermelon Racist Hate Cookie! (Repeat after me: our strength is in our diversity ... our strength ...)

Watermelon Oreos dip into controversy

Mix a favorite summer fruit with an iconic American cookie, and what do you get? Apparently a mouthful of controversy.

Mondelez International's (MDLZ +1.78%) Nabisco has rolled out a limited-edition Oreo flavor for the summer, picking watermelon as its fruit of choice. It's not even the cookie maker's first fruit-flavored version, with previous spin-offs including banana split and chocolate with strawberry creme.

Some are saying the new flavor opens up jokes or insults that could veer into racism, given that the fruit is sometimes stereotyped as a favorite of blacks. The portrayal has its roots in American slavery, with defenders portraying slaves as happy as long as they had a slice of watermelon. . . .

Gang of 8 Amnesty: The Janet Napolitano Fox In Charge of the Hen House Security Amendment

REPACKAGED AMNESTY BILL ALLOWS NAPOLITANO TO NIX BORDER FENCE

Another loophole inserted into the new version of the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill allows Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano (or any of her successors) to nix the construction of a required border security fence if she does not find it to be an "appropriate" use of resources.
The new version of the bill was introduced via a so-called “border surge” amendment from Sens. Bob Corker (R-TN) and John Hoeven (R-ND), with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid repackaging the whole bill into the amendment. . . .

Riverside County Celebrates Diversity with Rapes and Murders of Newlyweds (echoes of South Africa?)

Two ex-Marines sentenced to death after they raped Iraq vet's wife in front of him and then shot couple in the head

Horror: Sergeant Jan Pietrzak, 24, and his wife Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak, 26, were bound and gagged before being shot in the head

  • Sgt Jan Pietrzak, 24, and wife Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak, 26, were shot dead

  • Ex-Marines stormed couple's California home as part of robbery

  • Sgt Pietrzak's wife was raped in front of him before couple were killed

  • Emrys John, 23, and Tyrone Miller, 25, sentenced to death

  • Third ex-Marine, Kevin Cox, 25, sentenced to life in prison without parole

Convicted: Tyrone Miller, left, and Emrys John, right, have been sentenced to the death penalty, while Kevin Cox, centre, was sentenced to life in prison without parole

Two ex-Marines have been sentenced to death after they stormed the home of an Iraq veteran and his wife and shot the newly married couple dead.

Sgt. Jan Pietrzak, 24, was forced to watch as his wife Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak, 26, was raped, before the couple were shot in the head by their attackers, according to court documents.

Emrys John, 23, and Tyrone Miller, 25, were both given the death penalty yesterday for their roles in the 2008 killings in Riverside County, California.

A third ex-Marine, Kevin Cox, 25, was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

The three men - all former Marines - had stormed into the couple's home in the French Valley neighbourhood as part of a robbery scheme, prosecutors said.

A jury in Riverside County recommended the death penalty for John and Miller yesterday, according to the LA Times

Sgt Pietrzak was an Iraq war veteran who was stationed at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station in San Diego.

His wife was a counsellor with an infant care programme in Riverside County.

The couple had been married for just two months. . . .

This practice of multiple rapes of the wife, and kids if available, in front of the husband before everyone is tortured and killed is strangely similar to the many home-invasion robbery attacks on white families in South Africa, minus the machetes.
