AP / Yahoo News: AP-GfK Poll: Economy still the top election issue (Before every national election we hear this drumbeat, that the economy is towering at the top of voter's minds, ahead of issues like [wink-wink] immigration, and blah, blah, blah--as if being flooded by millions of the illegal and legal uneducated unemployed migrants from the Third World has nothing to do with the economy. Polling support for 'path to' citizenship heavily depends upon the wording of the question, for example if it is promised that border enforcement will follow, which is always promised after every amnesty--but which never ever ever happens!)

WASHINGTON (AP) — Recent headlines could make you think this election would be different. Perhaps, for the first time since the Great Recession, the economy wouldn't be the top issue. The latest Associated Press-GfK poll suggests that's not going to happen.




Nine in 10 likely voters in the survey said the economy was an important issue, outpacing rising concerns about terrorism, ongoing concerns about health care, and the social issues that have led to sharp clashes on the campaign trail.
