Liz Cheney is running for Congress in WY, great opportunity for grassroots organizing
Readers of my other blog, Refugee Resettlement Watch, know that Wyoming is the only state in the nation that has never had a UN/US State Department Refugee Admissions program.
In the fall of 2013, the Republican governor, Matt Mead, invited the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement (in HHS) to set up a program in Wyoming. See his letter to ORR here. (Would he have pursued this avenue if the Cheney dynasty disapproved? I doubt it.)
Don’t ask me why a Republican governor would invite needy third world refugees to the state, many from Muslim countries that hate us, but he did. See many posts at RRW, by clicking here. See especially, Mead calls me out, here.
His efforts have been thwarted so far by strong grassroots opposition.
Liz Cheney running for Wyoming’s lone seat in US House of Representatives.
For those grassroots patriots this is your big chance to make your concerns known. Liz Cheney worked in the US State Department and her father, former Bush VP Dick Cheney, has already signaled his welcome to Muslim refugees when he blasted Donald Trump for “anti-Muslim” views, here in December.
Find out when registration closes and find someone concerned about refugees and mass immigration generally to run against Cheney in the primary in order to make the issue a driving political issue this year. ***Update*** Filing deadline is in May, see here.
Hound Liz Cheney day and night on the issue of immigration!
If no one runs against her, Wyomingites must all hound her at every campaign stop from now until Election Day! Make sure the media in Wyoming (and around the US) knows how important the issue of Refugee Resettlement and mass migration is to you, and by doing so, you will help all Americans because Cheney will be attracting national news coverage.
And, one last thing, find out who is donating to her campaign—any big corporations looking for cheap immigrant labor? If so, expose them! ...
