JOHANNESBURG — South Africa is often called the “rape capital of the world,” and it is estimated that more than 70 percent of women have experienced sexual abuse. On Tuesday, five men attacked and gang-raped a young woman in the capital, Pretoria. In the shadow of a similar attack in India that mobilized millions to protest, activists in Johannesburg say they do not understand why more South Africans are not outraged.
Police say the young woman was waiting overnight Tuesday in line to register at the Tshwane University of Technology.

South African police documented more than 64,000 rapes last year. And, that figure includes only reported rapes. Sexual assault is one of the most underreported crimes worldwide.
A widely cited 2010 study by the Medical Research Council found that more than a quarter of South African men have admitted to raping a girl or woman. One in seven men admitted to gang rape.
Dangor says no woman is safe. Rape victims include babies, girls and old women. ...

As far as "South Africa Leads World in Rape Cases," any longtime observer gets the feeling that you could easily remove the words "South Africa" and substitute "Sub-Saharan Africa" and the headline would be just as accurate.
Unlike other African nations that were once governed by whites, like Zimbabwe, formerly Rhodesia, there are still enough remnants of civilization, and whites, remaining in South Africa so that at least the gathering of crime statistics can be attempted--until the last of the whites are driven out and killed and South Africa collapses back into the violent corrupt tribal African swamp. Although if it works for them, so be it. You can't have it both ways. If all people in the world are inherently equal, all nations should be able to solve their own problems. The full article inadvertently answers its own question. If there is no outrage about these things among a majority of Africans, like the outrage in India after their recent horrible rape case, Africans are not going to solve the problem.
Finally, a person would have to be blind to not connect this African rape-fest to the fact that the black-on-black rape and black-on-white rape rates are so grotesquely disproportionate to the reverse white-on-black rape rates in all Western nations. In fact the FBI statistics on white-on-black rapes are so far down into the bottom percentile that you can't even figure out how many there are per year. It is sort of like 'zero to hardly any.'
All this is another reason why being forced by our political and media elites to throw open our borders and endlessly chant "Celebrate Diversity!" is a cruel stupid murderous lie. There might very well be some traditional tribes in Africa that are praiseworthy. Good. Maybe they can lead the way. We can't even solve our own problems. How can a people who have put themselves hopelessly in debt and are allowing themselves to be rapidly demographically genocided be a glowing example to the rest of the world?
