The city of Rutland is at odds over the decision to take in 100 Syrian refugees this October.
"I hear fear being depicted and by the way this gentleman is talking, there's plenty of reasons to be afraid,” said Nick Santoro.
Santoro was part of a standing room only crown Tuesday night at the Rutland Free Library, to listen to James Simpson, an independent investigative journalist and former analyst for the White House office of management and budget. He was invited by members of the community that are against bringing Syrian refugees to the city.
