A 91-year-old Inwood man revered as a neighborhood institution was battered but back home Saturday after an unprovoked beating from a cane-wielding attacker.
“This could have ended up as a homicide,” a still shaky Juan Llorens told the Daily News in his apartment. “He almost killed me ... A man that’s just crazy. We didn’t know each other.”
Cops arrested 19-year-old Saul Nunez of the Bronx, who they said bashed the helpless 5-foot-3 victim in the head Friday evening as they randomly crossed paths on a Broadway sidewalk. ...
