Black male on campus: University of Miami sends racist 'warning' text to ALL students after theft... but forgets to mention the crime

"The University of Miami has come under fire after it sent a seemingly racist emergency text to students warning that a 'black male' was on campus.
"The University had meant to alert students on Wednesday night to the fact that police were pursuing two suspects in a reported laptop theft and that one was armed.
"But, in an embarrassing gaffe, the message failed to mention the crime, simply stating: 'Black male on campus wearing black and white tennis shoes, white shirt w/blk writing, black shorts.' ..."

I love it how the university "has already launched a full investigation," as if this glitch might have been the result of some secret KKK Klavern operating on campus.
This reminded me of once being told by someone who was a veteran emergency services dispatcher--I'll pause here to mention she was about as apolitical as they come, so was not trying to make any kind of a political point--about how in cases where the police need to quickly track someone down, usually a criminal suspect, but it could be a victim, lost child or whomever, the caller or witness is routinely asked if the person they are looking for is male, female, white, black, Latino, Asian, young or old. Obviously if you are hurriedly searching for someone in an emergency, it is helpful to be aware of their appearance.
It says something tellingly hilarious about our society that sometimes the caller will pause in the middle of an emergency phone call, while asking for help, and indignantly ask, "Why do you need to know the person's race?" But here is the icing on the cake: It is never a minority. It is always a white person, apparently trying to uphold the highest standards of politically correct egalitarianism--sometimes even after being mugged. Less hilarious is that such nutty off-planet utopian people are now in charge of our society.
