- "The 'new Macomb County,' comprised of a much higher population of blacks, Asians and Hispanics than in past decades, presents numerous challenges and opportunities over the coming decade, according to a panel of six experts who presented a new report on Wednesday. ...
'You would have thought all hell would have broken loose by now,” Lorenzo said. “I don’t see it. Where is it?'
As someone else has pointed out, since the "panel of experts" reported that this new teeming simmering goulash of countless different peoples is almost entirely made up of the poor, the non-English speaking and those in need of about every taxpayer-supported social service imaginable, what exactly are all these wonderful "opportunities"?
And you've got to love the last quote above. Apparently European Americans, who did after all found this nation and its major institutions that have made the U.S such an attractive magnet for everyone on the globe and their second cousin, twice removed, to flock into, can only demonstrate that they are not "unsophisticated" or "bigoted" by remaining silent as a church mouse on their ever-accelerating demographic phase-out, while undoubtedly moving away from Bartertown as fast and as far as possible--IF they can afford it in this stalled economy.
And, hmm, do you just suppose that the federal government importing massive numbers of unemployed under-educated third-worlders for almost five decades could have anything to do with our being forever stuck in the economic dumpster with the lid padlocked? Nah, to think that would be unsophisticated or bigoted.
