General Petraeus aside, not only do we need a congressional investigation of what happened in Benghazi minute-by-minute, but how we were so unprepared for making a timely response, as the Pentagon is now admitting--as a defense of its behavior! The Pentagon is saying that they were getting ready to respond from a base--in Italy. Maybe they could have also redeployed that mothballed nuclear sub in Trenton, New Jersey.
A bright high school student would have known that you need some rapid-response assets within that extremely dangerous and volatile region. And let's see, how many bazillions of taxpayer dollars have been squandered focusing on that area of the world? Totally reprehensible.
No wonder we can't even get America's own borders defended by this Keystone Cops administration, nor the previous one.
